May 13, 2000
May 13, 2000...a day marked in the eternities :). 10 years ago today, Nic and I locked eyes from across the dance floor in a huge ballroom in San Francisco, left our dates standing in the sidelines, and proceeded to slow dance for TWO slow songs in a row. What high school dance plays two slow songs in a row?? It was meant to be. 10 years ago today was the beginning of me and Nic. Happiness, tears, sacrifice and love have since followed. Nic has made me the happiest woman in the world, and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for him. I can't wait to see what the next 10 years bring!!

an end and a beginning
This month marks the end of our Disneyland season passes. We are on our second round of season passes since living down here in Southern California and we've decided to let them run out. (well, until family comes down again and we buy a ticket to the park :)) Disneyland and I have a love-hate relationship...I'm so glad to see the passes end, but with the end comes sadness. As my Dad put it, Disneyland is 'our thing'. It's what we do and where we go. It's our friend. It brought us a lot of happiness, so it will be sad to let them go. (But I'm still happy!)
This month also marks the beginning of Saturdays at the Beach. We full-heartedly plan to spend as many Saturdays as possible at the beach this Summer; napping and reading, dipping in the cool water, and snacking on McDonalds ice cream cones all the way home.
This weekend we experienced both 'the end and the beginning'. Friday night we spent at Disneyland, late Saturday afternoon we spent at the beach. There aren't better words for this weekend, other than how Nic described it: 'Summer-lovin, havin a blast'. Movie quote anyone?? (Nic's a nerd, but a very cute nerd!)
Saturday morning I spent watching Savannah while our friends Brian and Kelly worked. I just had to post these pictures of her because she is so adorable! And possibly the most well-mannered 15 month-old I've ever heard of. I love that little girl!
Here's to a great Summer! (Which is a little ironic since I did this post specifically for my sister-in-law Summer... :) )
